Project Overview

This project is dedicated to social justice and is the graduate thesis film for its director, Adam Lipsius. It will premiere at the First Look Film Festival, USC's bi-annual industry event at the Director's Guild Theatre, attended by major players in representation, development and distribution. Afterwards, it will be submitted to several leading international festivals, including Sundance and Cannes, where we hope to gain broad public notice. We will attempt to negotiate video and cable television sales, and ultimately hope to gain studio interest in extending and completing this story into a full-length feature film, in which this short will serve as the 1st Act.

We have raised over $50,000 to-date and filled most of our Key Positions. However, we still need additional investors and contributors to complete financing of our production and post-production, as well as secondary and temporary crew members.

As this is a speculative investment, we can't assure you results and don't want to mislead you about the risks. This ought to be a project you're committed to assisting without guarantee of recouping even your initial outlay, let alone huge returns. This film does have potential in the uniqueness of its story-line, the caliber of cast and crew interest we're attracting and the profile of its USC affiliations. If it were to be sold as the basis of a feature film, then your stake would surely be worth something, otherwise chances of profits are not great. Volunteers

Whether you're free for a day or the whole shoot, we would love for you to join the crew. We can't offer more than meals, a copy of the film and credit, but this will be a fantastic opportunity to work on a 35mm and multimedia film set that is at the cutting edge of cinema technology. Similarly, this is an important story that has attracted industry professionals at the top of their game. This would be a great chance to learn from and work with the best.
