PHILIP LONG

Late 30s-Early 40s. He is a family man consumed by his secret life unravelling before him. Burdened by guilt over the deaths of those close to him, Philip struggles to reconcile his dreams with the despair of those he loves most. Compelled to take responsibility for their suffering, he denounces himself and takes the blame for things he didn't do.

Sam has worked extensively on the stage including turns at Trinity Repertory, Georgia Ensemble, Georgia Shakespeare, Soul-stice Repertory and 7-Stages Theater. He co-founded and served as Artistic Director of the Down Right Theatre before moving to Los Angeles. Since his move, he has starred in several productions including the Los Angeles Premiere of Heaven by George F. Walker. Sam has additionally been seen in episodic television and most recently in the short film Locked In starring opposite Shirley Knight. He also starred in At A Loss... a short film Adam Lipsius wrote and directed that has enjoyed broad festival success.

 

Lt. Wilma Kittle

40s-50s. She runs the serious crimes division of her suburban police force. A dedicated, senior officer, she's nevertheless dogged by suspicions that she owes her position more to longevity and quotas than personal qualifications. More cognizant of interpersonal politics and peoples' rush to judgement, she's determined to be fair and not just efficient. Her struggle for justice and commitment to principle let us know how hard it is to be a cop.

 

Played by Marilyn McIntyre

Marilyn's extensive credits include guest starring roles on several TV series and movies-of-the-week including Cold Case, Judging Amy, LA Dragnet, Profiler, X-Files, Chicago Hope, and series regular on four daytime dramas. Among her film credits are The Ring 2, First Daughter, Very Bad Things, Breaking Dawn, Seven Girlfriends and the short George Lucas In Love. Marilyn has played leading roles on and off Broadway, with many regional theatres including Arena Stage (Wash., DC) Alley Theatre (Houston), Missouri Rep and South Coast Rep. In Los Angeles she has garnered several awards for her work with Interact Theatre, Matrix Theatre and VS. Theatre Companies. Ms McIntyre also teaches at USC and the Howard Fine Acting Studio.

 

Det. Mike Young

30s. He transferred to this cushier job from a metropolitan homicide division, because they needed someone with loads of experience, and he wanted a better life. A confident judge of character and nimble crime scene analyst, he's also personable and friendly. He looks at this medium-sized force as the kind of place he could work forever, and he knows he'll make chief in a couple of years if he lands a big case that'll bring him to the lime-light. He truly believes in what he does and knows that if you like omelettes, the eggs won't crack themselves. He assesses every situation for personal benefit, and he'll use all his considerable charm and skill to get ahead.

 

Played by Keith Coulouris

Keith has been involved in the entertainment industry for fifteen years as an actor and writer and more recently as a director with his debut feature "Bloodline," which he also wrote, co-produced and edited. His television credits include lead roles in numerous made-for-tv movies, including "Dead Man's Revenge" for USA network, starring opposite Bruce Dern and "Deliver Them From Evil" for CBS, starring opposite Terry Garr. He has also appeared as a guest star on episodic television in shows suchs as X-Files, Profiler and Murder She Wrote. He is probably best known for his contract role on the long running daytime drama, As the World Turns as the evil David Stenbeck.

 

Debbie Long

5 or 6. She is Philip's beautiful daughter, full of feistiness and determination. You can't help but do what she wants when she lays a deep, soulful stare on you. It is her untimely (and off-camera) drwoning that provides the catalyst for Philip's down-fall. She must be confortable in the water, but will always be properly supervised and have access to flotation devices.

 

Played by Callie Thompson

Callie is a newcomer to Los Angeles but no stranger to the business. In her short career, she has already booked lead roles on several national commercials including spots for Dunkin Donuts and Mattel's Barbie Doll. Originally from the Atlanta area, Callie brings professionalism, commitment and so much charm and joy to the process that she is an absolute pleasure to work with.

 

Mark Connors

30s-40s. Mark Connors is a man struggling to balance his wants and his needs. He lives the life of devoted husband and father, but secretly he's another person who can only be fully realized with the man he loves. It's his uncertainty over how to proceed and who to be when the world closes in that precipitates the central conflict of the film.

 

Played by Brent McEwan

Brent is dedicated and honest and brings the force of his own character to bare on the challenges confronting the roles he plays. He brought so much integrity to the part of Mark Connors that Four Degrees and I personally have benefited from knowing him.

 

Officer Arata

20s. Up and coming suburban police officer who stumbles across a crime scene and a murder that's much more than he bargained for.

 

Played by Eric Jorgenson

Eric worked so hard with actual members of the Los Angeles Police Department that I utterly believed him when he marched through the set's battered door. It was an education watching him craft his part.
